12 Step Programme

Hu'll heal the heart

Over the last nearly 80 years, there has been a collective beachhead of sanity and practical mindful calm established by individual people within the ferocious storms of their disease of addiction, a disease that has now become such a global pandemic.

This Programme of recovery has proved itself on the inner battlefields of countless millions of sensitive men and women as they have bequeathed to mankind the only effective remedy for the catastrophe that now threatens to erupt upon the exterior battlefields of our global culture.

“In as much as collectives are mere accumulations of individuals, their problems are also accumulations of individual problems … Such problems are never solved by legislation or tricks. They are only solved by a general change of attitude. And the change does not begin with propaganda and mass meetings, or with violence. It begins with a change in individuals. It will continue as a transformation of their personal…

Pandemic of stuck-addiction©

Hu'll heal the heart

Mentally ill are ‘dying needlessly’ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-24240408
and are an indicator of the wider pandemic that I have termed stuck-addiction©

This pandemic is global and describes and connects a human dilemma that unfolds daily across national news reports from around the world. I will explain from where the flow chart above derives and how it helps clarify the disease of stuck-addiction© in subsequent posts.

There have always been the mental illnesses that seem to be free standing andasdefinable as any other more physical disease. There are also mental disorders that are linked in a secondary or tertiary manner to the primary disease of addiction.

The situation is confused by the fact that in their six year training course, doctors in the UK spend three weeks learning about addiction that is described, as a reversal of the real situation, as a secondary or tertiary symptom of a range of other mental illnesses…

Addicted Society

the HU man healing

Written in 1987 by Anne Wilson Schaef in “When Society Becomes an Addict”.

“Our society is deteriorating at an alarming rate. As we watch the news and read the newspapers, we are increasingly made aware of corruption in high places, financial collapse, and a lack of morality in settings ranging from preschools to meat packing plants. We fear that our children will be stolen by child pornography rings, and we hear of our “healers” taking sexual advantage of their clients. Our planet is being destroyed by acid rain and pollution, and nuclear holocaust is a very real possibility. Hunger and wars rage over the planet.
…. Those few individuals who notice and draw attention to these growing problems are met with massive denial.
…. Much of what we know about our society can be compared to what the blind persons knew about the elephant. As that old story teaches us…

What is the drug war?

This historical account of US actions show the manipulations that characterise the disease of stuck-addiction© within the “persona” of the nation – misdiagnosis, denial, violent and insane directives that repeat expecting different results, linguistic dysfunction, Executive isolation, paralysis of vision, stasis.

Survival and Transformation

(Presented 14 July 2015 (Bastille Day) at a meeting of the End the New Jim Crow Action Network (ENJAN), Kingston, NY)

Recent US history, from the ‘60’s until today, shows the drug war is a crusade of repression against the African American people, incarcerating millions to prevent a renewal of the struggle for freedom. Recent American history makes clear the origins and purposes of the drug war.

We need to look at the whole picture, not just a fragment or a piece. Most writers on this subject either get lost in the details or can’t see past the lie that the US is a “democracy.” In either case they cannot see the realities of this history, even though the facts are clear.

Presenting well-known events in chronological order clarifies the inner connection among these events and brings out their larger significance. Placing the history in sequence makes it plain.
