Queues and queues of questions

The cue for a question can be small, large, subtle or brash. The attention grab that causes the start, the shock to a long-held presumption, the apparent opening of a door suddenly found to have been always open, when presumed locked.

What is your question …. right now, in this moment of our meeting?

That’s a very good question. It requires a very good answer. Your question suggests that you are looking for some words to deliver you some further information that might render your question completely destroyed.

If a question is answerable, then it is destroyable. This destruction of question as a definition of a question capable of removing ignorance is sometimes temporary, sometimes permanent. So, the question, “what time is it”, though destructible of itself in a moment, can be used over and over again.

This is why some questions seem impossible to truly ask with a hundred percent, whole-hearted commitment and total connection, unless the true impermanence of attributing oneself as a purely material entity is accepted – even theoretically.

“What is two plus two”, as a question, is utterly rendered as obsolete by its nemesis, the number four. This question only remains then for the petitioner as a teaching aid, or as a premise for further questions.

“Who am I”, as a question, is therefore asked, when at all, from a place of not wanting an unequivocal answer from an exterior source, as this destructive power in the answer may seem existentially threatening.

Yet, in a type of illness, a person will unwittingly answer themselves with a view of self as if this question “who am I” has been asked, answered and therefore destroyed, never to be asked again.

Do you really want that question utterly destroying, so that it can never be asked again by you in the same way that you formulate it right in this moment? If so, it will require some forensic work to clear this question from all previous subliminal usage that has been the cause of an inner imprisonment with a locked cell and the lost key that is the question, “who am I?”

Only by finding this question “who am I”, consciously, by asking it consciously, by thus destroying it consciously, can a person really feel that their inner prison is no more.

Then the question becomes one of, is the answer to “who am I”, giving an answer as certain as 2+2=4, in which case the question, the questioner and that which is questioned as the answerer become One, permanently and the relative place of questioning may disappear completely … RIP.

Or is the question answered, destroyed and resurrected to enable the questioner to remember consciously the answer whilst remaining “in time”, with an “I” no longer the same as the one prior to an answer of its own self-destruction, yet with a presence now able to assist others with the salvaging of this simple question, “who am I” for themselves.

Burdens

The fundamental difference between fiction and fact:

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
Charles Dickens

“Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another’s burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.”
Qur’an 35:18

What does this mean?

It means that we can help each other with physical burdens, that is simply good manners.

It means that we can help each other with financial burdens, with mental/feeling/emotional and psychological burdens, that is simply good counsel.

It means that our spiritual burdens are solely a personal and utterly intimate matter between the created and The Creator, that is simply good news.

For, as the awaited Isa (Christ) once said:
Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30 RSV).

The Bottom Line About The Top Line

What on earth have I been hammering on about stuck-addiction©️ for for these last five years?

It is to have tried to correlate a person’s spiritual illness that is known as addiction, with a system’s spiritual illness that is exhibiting exactly the same descriptor of disease, namely the collapse of Executive function. I have arrived at the term stuck-addiction©️ to describe this now global correlation.

In this exploration of correlation, I have been able to test out my connections, definitions and insights with scores and scores of passengers in my taxi. I have had conversations with Academics, Professors, Deans, Medical Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Bankers, Prison Officers, Corporate Executives, Radio Journalists, MPs, Lords, Solicitors, Monsignors, Vicars, Factory Floor Workers, Cleaners, Drug Addicts, Prostitutes, Unemployed People, Terminally Ill People, Criminals, Ex-criminals, Addicts, Recovered Addicts, Accountants, Auditors, Company Directors, CEOs, Farmers, Musicians, Police Chiefs, Students – to name the few specific conversations that immediately come to mind as I write this.

With the exception of one international Executive working in an international company involved with drug treatment programmes, who displayed an angry and biased reaction to stuck-addiction©️ mainly because their work involved talking to governmental agencies about why 12 Step Programmes didn’t work and how their drugs did, I have received unanimous and enthusiastic endorsements for my diagnosis of an illness at the heart of the present global Epoch-change.

This illness in an individual is a spiritual illness, it is an illness that is all about a bottom-line driven collapse of conscience. This illness in a systemic-leadership is a spiritual illness, it is an illness that is all about a bottom-line driven collapse of ethics.

In both situations, there is no physical or intellectual solution for what is a spiritual illness. A spiritual illness requires a spiritual solution, a reconnection of a top-line to the beleaguered bottom-line.

How is this top-line reconnection to happen?

It cannot begin to happen until the first two steps are taken within an understanding of what stuck-addiction©️ actually is.

Einstein is purported to have said 2 things pertinent to current events. 1 If you keep doing the same thing expecting different results, that’s insanity. 2 The mindset that creates the problem cannot solve the problem. These 2 definitions are simply descriptive of stuck-addiction©️

In the confessional privacy of my taxi, the admissions of information given freely to me that corroborate my message are clear. Yet there is nothing that the systemic bodies can do about stuck-addiction©️ until the leaders accept their plight with each other across their usually exclusive adversarial boundaries of competition, industrial espionage, corporate hubris and partisan politics.

I am the paradox that is knocking on the locked door of a collapsing orthodoxy, the outsider with a simple message of recalibration from a Higher Power.

Unfortunately, the orthodox despises the paradox as history shows over and over again whether in the resistance to the messages of Galileo, the string of Western Prophets, The Buddha, John Snow at the pump in London at the beginning of this industrial era – and on and on with varying degrees of denial depending upon the scale of the change.

I am not liked as a messenger by the counselling orthodoxy, by the medical orthodoxy, by the political orthodoxy, by the religious orthodoxy – to name but a few for a place to start.

Though I have knocked on the door of the local CCG in the NHS, my evidence based message of the organisational illness within the very NHS itself, that the Junior Doctors went on strike about recently, namely the managerial disconnect and political denials that attend these disconnections, this knocking is ignored and my message denied. My evidence based message that Addiction is a primary disease is also denied.

I am adept at helping individuals and organisations arrive at a reconnected top-line dynamic to salvage their bottom-line fixated insanity – if I can enter the inner sanctums of dysfunction wherein is the only hope of the securing of a change in direction.

Broken system of ringfenced absurdity

UK Punjabi alcohol support services ‘see rise in users’ – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44009040

It saddens me greatly that as an Addiction Counsellor who is also able to address cultural diversity from a place of being a member of the BACP Spirituality Division and a Healer as a Student Member of The Healing Trust, I cannot access referrals directly from the NHS.

The main reason for this is managerial laziness within the NHS locally. I have informed them of my service at www.drt.global and the CCG haven’t responded.

The different approaches to diagnosing and treating the mechanisms of Mankind’s behaviours, when they present to their culture’s orthodox medical services for help, are themselves in turmoil.

Because of the decades of denial that have afflicted the psychologically oriented disciplines of study and practice since Professor Doctor Carl Jung was sidelined in the 1960’s by the juggernaut of the pharmaceutical industry and their subsequent sponsorship of all matters medical, the integration of the physical and the metaphysical in medical practitioner training has become utterly taboo.

So Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is now the prevailing panacea pushed upon the ever-sickening culture of a post-modern British NHS, whilst my service, which contains CBT as a tool in my eclectic tool box, is not even worthy of being commissioned.

The rising tide of all of the forms of the primary disease of Addiction are components of Life sending a message that all is not well and many of the other forms of mental illness are at least worthy of mental health practitioners becoming open to the information held in this site:

Peace is not a lack of war

Where the insane leaders of this Earth exhibit their illness most clearly is in their disposition, their failure to comprehend their actual position.

Peace is not a fragile thing as posited by Vladimir Putin. Peace is a place within which Mankind appears. Peace is like the atmosphere for breathing entities, it is like the rivers and seas and oceans for aquatic life. Peace is the most powerful phenomenon on this planet which is why time itself as Anno Domini is measured by the Prince of Peace, where Peace is territory within the kingdom of The King of Love.

So, as the little toys are paraded to try to pretend that they are there to protect Peace, let it be known that Peace is well able to protect Itself from those who insult It with their hubris.

As the Offices of State of the Security Council of The United Nations are so clearly broken and failing in their primary function which is that of being united internationally, all policies issuing from these Offices of State cannot help therefore but deliver ever greater tensions of disunity in their national functions too.

The politicians should look to the Prince and King if they wish to serve Humankind by understanding the actual territory of The Universe.

If they think that all Humankind are not already citizens in the kingdom of Love, then they are still dividing and ruling a mere Mankind for their own personal and insane delusory agendas and fearful revenge.

In defence of this amazing time

It is so easy to slip into knocking mode. The news-media exaggerates the absurdly small numbers of people actually experiencing murder, bombs, disaster and destitution. It is not to ignore or justify the pain of the people suffering, every single person is connected to every other person. Yet out of 7,500,000,000 people, the overwhelming majority of folks are in an amazing life, a life that is about to become even more amazing!

I have just driven from Kingston-upon-Hull to Manchester Airport, a feat that even only 50 years ago would have been a considerable challenge. I completed the task in one hour and forty minutes. I then checked my mobile phone for the nearest supermarket as I am on a four hour wait before I pick up another person from the airport to take them to Hull.

Having talked to my computerised helper and pressed a link on the touch screen of my phone, the sat-nav automatically organised my journey through these strange suburbs of Manchester and I now sit in a café writing this blog entry. Even ten years ago this seamless experience would not have been possible.

As I look around this supermarket, for it actually is super, I see people of all shapes and sizes, people at all stages of their life’s journey. It is an amazing experience that today I cannot take for granted and pretend that it is not anything other than truly amazing.

As I sit here, in my mind’s eye I immediately connect with every other branch of this particular supermarket in the UK and know that what I am witnessing here is playing out across this country. I am aware of all the other brands of supermarkets in the UK. This scene is playing out across Europe. This scene plays out across this whole world every day in a truly amazing and wondrous way.

This is the best of times and it is the worst of times as Charles Dickens said in his Tale Of Two Cities. The worst of times, as a proportion of the best of times, is a comparative figure that could be worked out across any number of statistical criteria.

However, my contention today is that whatever way the worst of times is looked at as a figure, then that figure is hugely and massively less than the figure that would crunch to represent the best of times. This is true in this moment and becomes even more significant when the comparison extends to a time frame even as small as ten years.

What is the matter with us then as a species?

You could be forgiven if you have skimmed through my blogs and social-media profiles over the past four years and simply seen only a message of illness. I hold to the effort that I’ve made to contextualise the forces acting upon leaders as they try to land a new epoch upon a landing-pad that is hardly past its design phase. Yet my message is designed to help leaders not to blame them.

Everything is moving so fast for so many people that it is hard to believe what is happening to us as a species, as a nation, as a culture, as a community, as a group, as a family or and as an individual.

There is the key word …. believe.

There are in the echelons of power, elements that are misguided, there always have been. This is no reason to be downhearted and no reason to stop believing in the overwhelming beauty at the heart of the intentions of people in positions of command and control both corporately and politically.

As most people live in the systemic bodies of our globalising culture, the relationships between heads and bodies become vitally important. Those few individuals that work within the head of their body of industry, or of finance, or of policy, or of power wherever it exerts an influence, these head individuals have one primary stress test that they must examine very regularly.

Is the head actually attached to the body with an executive function that is able to execute planned solutions through viably connected pathways of communication?

My writing communicates from a living presence which knows that much of our present global dynamic has arrived to where it is now despite the best efforts of international politicians rather than because of them! So, as this will continue to be the case, this again is a primary reason to be optimistic about these amazing times, if you can only remedy your beliefs. (postscript link added 11/05/19)

How can you remedy your beliefs?

This is the question that I have been exercised by over the last few years. I am not wholly dissatisfied with the results of my exercises, but there is much to do before I leave this mortal coil, if God wills.

So, how to help folks reconnect with their belief function? How to help folks to actually believe what they know?

If a person fails to believe, or if a collective fails to believe that they can do something even though they have might have previously done that something before, then this disconnect between either actual knowledge or theoretical knowledge conflates experience and theory into a joint disability of disaster.

See now then, how important to functionality is this oft’derided word belief. As the Sufi poet and mystic Hafiz said:

“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.”

I echo this yearning of Hafiz for you now, down through the centuries: how can we show you enough of your true self to allow you to believe in the astonishing light of your own being?

This is my work. This is why I hammer on about stuck-addiction©️. It is not to belittle nor to deride these amazing times. It is however an attempt to bring as many people as possible to a point of reconnection, to a point of orientation that gives the best possible chance of as many people as possible coming to believe that a power greater than themselves can restore them to sanity.

This power is Love.
